Bramall Lane
Bramall Lane is a football stadium in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is the home of Sheffield United. As the largest stadium in Sheffield during the 19th century, it hosted most of the city's most significant matches including the final of the world's first football tournament. It has been the home of Sheffield United since the club's establishment in 1889. It is the oldest major stadium in the world still to be hosting professional association football matches.
The stadium was built on a Sheffield road named after the Bramall family (who were file and graver manufacturers). The stadium was originally opened as a cricket ground. It was also used for football games in the 19th century by Sheffield F.C. and Sheffield Wednesday but since 1889 it has been the home of Sheffield United.

Ground Information
Bramall Lane is the oldest league stadium in the world and hosted its first game in 1862 whilst hosting the world’s first ever floodlit match in 1878. There are few bad seats in the house, although the Hallam FM stand behind one of the goals has a few supporting pillars and can affect your view. The whole stadium is full of character as you'd expect for a stadium this old. All 4 corners are filled in with either seating or admin offices, but it adds to the overall feel and helps to keep the atmosphere in. Here is some information on each of the main stands:
The Redbrik Stand - This is the oldest existing stand at the ground and used to be called The Bramall Lane Stand. It is a two-tier structure with the bottom-tier housing the away fans.
The Hualing South Stand - A lot of fans still refer to this as The Laver Stand, because this was what it was called for a long amount of time. It is the main stand at the ground and houses the Superstore and the club’s museum.
The Kennedy's Kop Stand - Currently sponsored by Kennedy’s Law, The Kop, as is traditional with kop stands, is a single-tier structure that houses the club’s most boisterous and vocal fans.
The Duchy Homes Family Stand - As the name suggests, this is Bramall Lane’s family stand and runs along the side of the pitch. This is also where the executive suites and executive boxes are located. It is linked to The Kop by Pukka Pie Corner.
Away fans
Visiting supporters are situated in the lower tier of the Bramall Lane Stand where up to 3,000 travelling fans can be catered for. The views are unobstructed and very good.
Away pubs
There are a good set of pubs near to the ground including The Golden Lion, which is in Alderson Road, off Woodhead Road and is a 5 minutes’ walk from the away entrance. It welcomes both home and away fans and there is a healthy level of banter in here on match days.
The city centre has some excellent pubs and is only a ten-minute walk away, so drinking here and walking to the game is certainly a viable option.
Car Parks & Public transport
A lot of people suggest in Meadowhall Shopping Centre and taking a tram in to avoid the town centre but in all honesty, if you're going to arrive early enough to do that, you'll probably be early enough to find street parking in the roads surrounding the stadium. Do arrive early though, there's lots to see so it'll be worth your while.
Parking Near Bramall Lane - There is a large car park at the ground itself, with numerous other parking options around the city. Do be aware of parking restrictions if you’re considering on-street parking, however.
